A week post eye lens replacement!

Hi all,
As you are probably already aware, I took the brave step of having eye lens replacement surgery last Tuesday 23rd Feb, and just thought I would post a quick update.
All went well, although I was not given the option of sedation (which I was a little upset about). I only realised after surgery, when the surgeon told me I had been very brave for not opting for sedation, that I realised.
This is quite heavy going surgery and I actually found it a tad traumatic and believe me I am quite hard core and can take pain. It's not really painful, it's more the pressure on the eye during surgery.
The results? AMAZING!! My sight was excellent a few hours after surgery.
I can read, text, use a computer and see off in the distance.
Believe me this surgery is so worth it and so life changing.
It's not a cheap as laser, but my goodness it's worth it. And I won't ever need to have it again, nor will I get cataracts in the future.
So one happy bunny here and no more hunting for my specs and no steamed-up glasses with my mask.
Isn't it great news that we will be heading out of this awful lockdown soon?
I'm am very excited about getting back to a little normality and getting out.
We have lots of new stock in this week and I cannot wait to share these pieces with you all.
Take care all and stay safe.
Much love
Di
